The Level 4 SVQ/ NVQ Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations is a nationally recognised qualification designed for individuals responsible for supervising and managing lifting operations within the construction and related industries. Assessment and Pathways:

To achieve the qualification, candidates must complete ALL of the mandatory units:

• Developing and maintaining good occupational working relationships in the workplace
• Supervising lifting operations using lifting equipment in the workplace
• Maintaining the dimensional accuracy of work in the workplace
• Coordinating preparation work for site or lifting operations in the workplace
• Allocating work and checking people’s performance in the workplace
• Maintaining systems for health, safety, welfare, and environmental protection in the workplace
• Coordinating and organising the control of work in the workplace
• Allocating and monitoring the use of plant, equipment, or machinery in the workplace

Upon successful completion of the Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations, candidates will be eligible to apply for the Gold CSCS Card, recognising their advanced skills and expertise in lifting operations. The Gold CSCS Card is a prestigious qualification that signifies a high level of competence in the construction industry, allowing individuals to demonstrate their leadership and proficiency in managing lifting operations.
