SVQ/NVQ – Specialist Installation Occupations
This qualification provides nationally recognised certification for individuals working across specialist construction installation roles. Learners must demonstrate competence, skills, and knowledge in core construction areas, alongside occupational competence in their chosen pathway.
Assessment is workplace-based, measured against national standards, and involves compiling a portfolio of evidence.

Pathway 1 – Insulated Enclosures (Industrial)

Installing and repairing ceilings in insulated enclosures
Installing insulated enclosure floors
Installing insulated cladding walls

Erecting/dismantling access platforms, MEWP operation, slinging & signaling

Pathway 3 – Industrial Storage Systems (Installation)

MEWP operation, staging, forklift, sideloader, telescopic handler, lorry loader operation, powered units/tools operation
Pathway 4 – Door, Gate & Shutter Systems (Installation & Maintenance)

Servicing and maintaining door, gate, or shutter systems
Unit endorsements: industrial, commercial, or pedestrian doors
