The Level 2 SVQ/NVQ Diploma in Formwork is designed for individuals involved in assembling, installing, and removing formwork in construction projects.
Candidates must demonstrate the level of knowledge outlined in the units. Assessment involves evaluating a candidate’s knowledge and understanding against the standards established in the qualification.
Each candidate is required to compile evidence that shows their achievement of all learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.
ASSESSMENT
Candidates must complete all of the Mandatory units. While candidates may choose to complete any of the additional units, these will not contribute towards the overall qualification.

- Fabricating and maintaining timber and proprietary formwork systems in the workplace
- Erecting and striking timber and proprietary formwork in the workplace
- Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
- Conforming to productive working practices in the workplace
- Moving, handling and storing resources in the workplace
Additional Units
- Preparing and operating scissor-type mobile elevating work platforms – MEWP – in the workplace
- Preparing and operating boom-type mobile elevating work platforms – MEWP – in the workplace
- Preparing and operating mast climber-type mobile elevating work platforms – MEWP – in the workplace
- Slinging and signalling the movement of loads – secondary role – in the workplace
