SVQ/NVQ Diploma – Plastering (Level 2)
The SVQ/NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Plastering is a competence-based qualification designed for individuals working in plastering within the construction industry. It provides formal recognition of workplace skills, ensuring candidates can safely and effectively carry out plastering tasks in commercial, domestic, and industrial settings.
This qualification is part of Jump-Start Academy Pathway 2: Learn a Trade and Achieve NVQ, which supports progression to a Blue CSCS card.

Core Mandatory Units (All Pathways)

Pathway-Specific Units – Solid Plastering
Candidates must complete 6 mandatory units and 1 optional unit:
Mandatory Units:
Applying finishing plaster to prepared surfaces in the workplace
Producing internal solid plastering finishes in the workplace
Applying solid render to background surfaces and producing finishes in the workplace
(Combined with the core mandatory units for a total of 6 units)
Optional Units (Choose 1):
Installing direct bond dry lining systems in the workplace
Laying sand and cement screeds in the workplace
Applying projection plaster and render, and maintaining equipment in the workplace
Installing mechanically fixed plasterboard in the workplace
