The Confined Spaces Awareness Course provides learners with an understanding of the hazards and risks associated with confined spaces commonly found on construction and industrial sites.
Delivered by Alternative Training, this course is designed to raise awareness of confined space dangers, legal requirements, and safe systems of work. It is an awareness-level course only and does not include practical confined space entry training.

Groundworkers
Mechanical and electrical (M&E) operatives
Demolition and civil engineering teams
Anyone who may work in or around confined spaces
The course is suitable for learners who require awareness training but are not carrying out confined space entry.

Assessment: Theory-based test
Duration: 2–3 hours online or half-day classroom session
Certification: Confined Spaces Awareness Certificate
Certificates are valid for 3 years.
