This qualification provides a nationally recognised certification for individuals working in construction across a broad range of areas. Learners must demonstrate skills, knowledge, and understanding in core subject areas, as well as show occupational competence in a specialist subject area.
Candidates must demonstrate the required level of knowledge as described in the units. Assessment involves evaluating a candidate’s knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification.
Each candidate is required to compile evidence that demonstrates their achievement of all learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.

- Pathway 1 – Concrete Repair
- Pathway 2 – Sprayed Concrete
- Pathway 3 – Decorative Concrete
- Pathway 4 – Concrete Drilling
- Pathway 5 – Concrete Sawing
- Pathway 6 – Concrete Drilling and Sawing
- Pathway 7 – In Situ Flooring – Screed
- Pathway 8 – In Situ Flooring – Resin
- Pathway 9 – In Situ Flooring – Concrete Layer
- Pathway 10 – In Situ Flooring – Concrete Finisher
- Pathway 11 – In Situ Flooring – Concrete Plant Operator
- Pathway 12 – Substrate Preparation and Profiling
- Pathway 13 – Concrete Floating Floor Installation
- Pathway 14 – Insulated Concrete Construction
Candidates must complete all of the Mandatory units plus the Mandatory/Optional unit requirements from one of the pathways.
Mandatory Units
- Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
- Conforming to productive working practices in the workplace
- Moving, handling and storing resources in the workplace
- Installing, maintaining and removing work area protection and safety equipment in the workplace.
Based on the pathway that candidates choose, they must complete different mandatory and optional units specific to that pathway. Each pathway has tailored units to ensure candidates gain the relevant skills and knowledge for their chosen area of expertise within the construction industry.
