Level 3 SVQ/NVQ Diploma in Steelfixing Occupations
The Level 3 SVQ/ NVQ Diploma in Steelfixing Occupations is a nationally recognised qualification designed to acknowledge the knowledge, skills, and competence of individuals who specialise in steelfixing within the construction industry. This qualification is competence-based, meaning candidates must demonstrate an advanced level of competence across various tasks and techniques outlined in the units.
Each candidate is required to compile a portfolio of evidence that clearly demonstrates their ability to meet the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for all units.
Curriculum – Mandatory Units:
Candidates must complete all of the following mandatory units:
- Confirming work activities and resources for an occupational work area in the workplace
- Developing and maintaining good occupational working relationships in the workplace
- Confirming the occupational method of work in the workplace
- Conforming to general health, safety, and welfare in the workplace
- Moving, handling, and storing resources in the workplace
- Fixing reinforcement steel in-situ to complex designs in the workplace
Upon successful completion of the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Steelfixing Occupations, candidates will be eligible to apply for the Gold CSCS Card, which recognises their advanced skills and expertise in the steelfixing trade. The Gold CSCS Card is a prestigious credential within the construction industry, demonstrating a high level of competence and professional recognition.
