Level 3 SVQ/NVQ Qualification in Steel Erecting
The Steel Erecting course has been carefully designed to assess and validate a candidate’s expertise, proficiency, and practical skills in carrying out steel erecting tasks within the engineering construction industry.
Learners must demonstrate a solid understanding of core subject areas, showcasing both theoretical knowledge and practical abilities. In addition, they will need to exhibit occupational competence in a specialised area, ensuring they meet the high standards required within the industry. Upon successful completion, candidates will be awarded the Level 3 NVQ/SVQ Diploma and be eligible to apply for the Gold CSCS Card, marking their expertise as a qualified Steel Erecting engineer.
ASSESSMENT AND PATHWAYS:
Candidates must complete all Mandatory Units and may also choose to complete any of the Additional Units if desired.

- Prepare structural leads for moving and installing
- Move structural steel sections
- Install structural steelwork components
- Work safely at height on steel structures
- Assemble bolted joints in structural steelwork
