What You Will Learn
Learners must complete all mandatory units and select one optional unit, demonstrating competence through practical assessment, knowledge tests, and portfolio evidence.
Mandatory Units – Complete ALL:
Developing and maintaining good occupational working relationships
Implementing, maintaining, and reviewing health, safety, welfare, wellbeing, and environmental systems
Assessing and agreeing work methods for site operations
Planning work activities and resources to meet project requirements
Coordinating control in the workplace
Controlling work progress against agreed programmes
Allocating and monitoring the use of plant, equipment, or machinery
Implementing communication systems for projects
Controlling work against agreed quality standards
Contributing to the control of work quantities and costs
Maintaining supplies of materials to meet project requirements
Maintaining the dimensional accuracy of work
Coordinating preparation for site operations
Supervising the installation, maintenance, monitoring, and removal of temporary works
Optional Units – Complete ONE:
Supervising pre-installation planning for retrofit works
Supervising the installation, commissioning, and handover of retrofit works
Allocating work and monitoring people’s performance

Supervising activities related to traditional and heritage buildings
