Assessment and Pathways:
To achieve the qualification, candidates must complete ALL of the mandatory units, plus a minimum of ONE optional unit from the list below:
Mandatory Units – Complete ALL units:
- Confirming work activities and resources for an occupational work area in the workplace
- Developing and maintaining professional working relationships in the workplace
- Confirming the occupational method of work in the workplace
- Conforming to general health, safety, and welfare in the workplace
- Erecting masonry structures in the workplace
- Setting out to form masonry structures in the workplace
- Erecting masonry cladding in the workplace
- Erecting masonry to form architectural and decorative structures in the workplace
Optional Units – Complete a minimum of ONE unit:
- Erecting thin joint masonry structures in the workplace
- Repairing and maintaining masonry structures in the workplace
- Installing drainage in the workplace
- Installing and forming specialist masonry elements in the workplace
Upon successful completion of the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Trowel Occupations, candidates will be eligible to apply for the Gold CSCS Card, recognising their advanced skills and professional competence in the bricklaying trade. The Gold CSCS Card is a prestigious industry qualification that demonstrates an advanced level of competence and is recognised across the construction sector.
